New Years Eve party wear inspo and my 2019 resolutions

Christmas Eve is now behind us and what a wonderful Eve it was! Lot’s of laughter, food and great company! Oh! And thank you to all of you who wished me a Merry Christmas as well! It was so lovely to see such a big outpouring of love. It made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside so thank you so much for that and I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!

As I mentioned briefly on Twitter and Youtube, I’ve been taking a quick break over the holidays to recharge and spend time with family. I now feel much better prepared to tackle the end of the year and lo and behold, it’s just around the corner! It’s time to look back and reflect on what has happened as well as look forward and move on towards all of the new and exciting things 2019 will bring with it. In my case, 2019 will be an almost completely fresh start. I’m starting school again in the New Year which is very exciting and something I’ve been looking forward to. I think it will be a nice change of pace and I’m hoping it will become a gateway for more opportunities in the future.

In any case, it’s almost New Year’s Eve and I’m positive that 2019 will be a better year for me than 2018 was and so, I’ve written down my new and improved resolutions for the New Year AND I’ve thrown in a little New Years Eve party wear inspo into the mix as well! So let’s get started!

2We’ll start with shirts and blouses. Sequins, glitter and glam are always a solid go-to and a winner every year.  That’s why I picked out a few different options that range from pure gold sequins, to a lovely satin blouse.  All good options for an evening out! A little sparkle never hurt nobody and if you pair it with a sleek pair of jeans or high wasted suit pants you’ll razzle-dazzle your way into the New Year with ease!

3Pantsuits are another good option for New Year’s Eve. You don’t have to worry as much about mixing and matching and they can be used many times afterwards! Personally, I think I’ll be wearing a pantsuit for New Years. It’s easy, it’s stylish and you can always spruce it up with some bold accessories and a nice pair of heels or boots and your evening is set!

Since it’s winter, a good party boot is essential. You can, of course, choose to wear heels as well but I personally prefer boots as they are more comfortable and easier to walk in. Besides, a western style boot is very in this year and would go well with most, if not all, party outfits! A sleek leopard pattern boot is also a good way to show others that you are ready to leap into the New Year in style!

4Clutches and bags are a great accessory to help you add a little extra bling into your wardrobe. They’re also essential to carry all your table-bombs and confetti in!
A stylish handbag can lift your outfit to new heights and I personally really like the festive Becksondergaard bags. The diamond pattern is very elegant and vintage. A perfect companion to your New Years Eve party!

Before I end this post I want to write down and share my New Years resolutions with you. I would also love to hear you guys’ resolutions as well and whether or not they have changed since last year. Mine haven’t changed much but they are still relevant in some way or form so I guess it’s alright to re-write them?
In any case, here they are:

  • Take more chances.
This one is important to me since I have a habit of over-thinking things and usually prevents me from trying new things. I don’t want to hold myself back anymore and so I want to work on jumping at more chances and opportunities and not worry too much about the outcome of them.
  • Take more pictures.
This has been on my resolutions list since the start of the year. I want to take more and better pictures and of everything. I won’t necessarily upload all of them but I want to have them at least.
  • Stop worrying about the little things.
This sort of connects to the first one I wrote and it’s something which has followed me for a long time. I always worry and sometimes it’s about the most mundane things you could possibly imagine. It’s a big waste of time and I would love if I could do less of it in the New Year.
  • Start working out again (and find a sustainable rhythm that keeps me healthy while still having time for other things.)
It’s a New Years resolution, what did you expect? Of course, there is going to be something about my health! It’s mostly about staying active though and not as much about losing weight. I just do so much sedentary work that I need to balance it out with something and my hope is to find that in 2019.
  • Work hard and achieve what I set out to achieve.
This is pretty self-explanatory but as I mentioned, I start school again next year and so I want to work hard and do well. I know it’ll be difficult at times but I really do want to do as much as I possibly can to study and work hard to achieve my dreams.
