New Year, New Me, New Content

Hey guys, we are FINALLY in 2019! I hope you all got into the new year well?
I, for once, went to a party with a bunch of my old school friends and ended up having a great time! Though as lovely as it was seeing everyone again, it was also a slightly odd experience. Mostly because I was finally presented with the “adult” version of all my old teenage friends and it was weird seeing how much everyone had changed. Though mostly in appearances as they were all still just as easy and lovely to talk to as they used to be!
At the party, before everyone else arrived, all the girls had decided beforehand to have dinner together. It was a lovely opportunity to catch up and get “re-acquainted” with each other and so we ended up playing a game in which we listed the 3 best things to happen to us in 2018. Mine where:

  • Unintentionally being In WillIAm’s Instagram story at the Black Panther Premiere, because how the hell does that even happen!? I didn’t even notice until it was pointed out to me! It’s so cool!!
  • Meeting Ryan Reynolds in London was truly a highlight as well. What an amazing guy! And SO dreamy too!
  • Going to Universal Studios in Florida.
This one is truly special to me because I never thought I would be able to go and see all the things I saw there. It was an amazing experience that I’ll truly never forget!

It was a great mood booster around the table and nice to reminisce and talk about our highlights like that! And even though they will probably never read this, I still want to thank them for that. It was a great ending to 2018.

However, now we’re in 2019 and hopefully, this will be a year full of even more opportunities and chances. Not just for travelling (Though I think it’s highly unlikely that I’ll be doing much of that any time soon) but also for personal growth.
Last year was a little crazy for me towards the end. Not to mention out of control, so I want to make sure that I take it slower this year and go at my own pace. That’s also why I’ve been meaning to ask you guys what you would like to see more off from me in the coming year. I know I have some opinions about where I want to take the channel/blog and what I want to write/vlog about but we’re all in this together and I would like to hear your opinions.

I’m sorry that it’s a short update today but I want to make sure I have the proper stuff planned and I was out of commission for the entirety of Monday (I got a little tipsy guys, I’m sorry! Remember to drink responsively!!) and Tuesday went by in a flash so I figured it’d be a good idea, that the first blog post in the New Year was one you could all comment on with your own ideas and input!

Lastly, I want to thank you guys for the support you have lent me throughout 2018 and for your continued support in 2019. There are no words to describe how thankful I am to have you guys here with me, following my own personal journey as I stumble through life. It’s nice to know you are out there and that you care. ❤

Anyway, let me hear what you have to say! Questions are also always welcome and I will try to answer them to the best of my abilities!

xoxo

  1. Hey Wiishu,

I love your channel and want to know when you are doing more art, as I want to study Digital Art when I leave school and go into Video Game business. Could you give some advice on drawing as I am beginning to draw OCs and it is different to drawing dogs and cats.

I am glad that you having fun with friends and I hope you have a wonderful 2019!

    1. That’s exciting! Good luck with it!

I don’t know if I can give advice that is that broad but I encourage you to go search the web for that information, inspiration, tutorials and other things like it. I know that helped me when I first started out!

  2. Hi Wiishu!

I’ve been a passive follower in the background, but love your content and videos. I was hoping to see more of your art style / process / inspiration? Are there certain books you love / use when creating? Certain websites?

I’ve been getting back into drawing again, and am tinkering around with the idea of putting together a baby webcomic — mainly something to keep me consistently drawing and practicing while planning for a bigger project later. I’m self-taught, so still have a lot to learn. But I love seeing other artists’ (such as yourself) processes and inspiration / techniques and tricks. Do you have a favorite place to find reference poses? Do you / artists even use reference poses? What do you think is the most challenging aspect? (Also a stupid question; but what is the internet web etiquette for art? Obviously, no stealing, but I’ve seen comments on paint-overs of photographs and stuff like that being frowned on and such…)

Thanks for reading, and being so engaging with your supporters! I can’t wait to hear of your many new adventures! I hope you love school despite the new challenges it’ll bring. In the end, it’s worth it (at least in my opinion).

    Here’s to a purposeful and fulfilling 2019!

  6. It’s nice to hear you started off your year well Signe!
Maybe you could do more day to day things like what you do with your day, outside vlogs and maybe some home decor tips? I’m decorating at the moment and I’m stuck on where I want to go with it. Love your blog as always!

  7. One of the best times of 2018 was having relationships. It sounds weird and kinda slutty but it made me realize that my high school life doesn’t revolve around my love life. I have better things to use my energy on such as my GCSE”S in may 😬😬 . The 3 relationships showed me the array of types of lads in our school. One being a quick fling to fit in with the crowd to become popular, another being desperation with getting back with exes to prove that he can “fix” the past with me, but it didn’t work as it made myself mentally worse. Whilst the best relationship by far being one with a caring lad who was in it for the long run. In that relationship it made us both realise that we didn’t have the time to use into our bond. Even after months of not talking, we both still come to each other with personal issues, despite him being in a relationship. And for that, I’m grateful for the events that happened in 2018. There were several downsides such as mental health but it proved to not only me but others around me that when we stick together, we become stronger and we can get through it all. I wish both you and everyone else an amazing year 🥂🥂🥂😅 (it sounds so cheesy)

  9. Hey Signe! I’m glad you had an awesome New Years and that you got to catch up with all your friends!

Content wise, I’d love to see what school ends up being like for you. How you study, maybe, or projects you’re doing. I’d also be interested in more fitness, health and fashion from you, because you’re my current go to for that! Really, though, anything you love or inspires you, because that’s always the best content.

I’m curious, would you be open to doing a collab with a new person? If so, what would be the best way to contact you about it?

For 2019, I always say how much I love your art so of course I’d love to see more, or even speedpaints, but your content always makes me smile regardless, so do whatever makes you happy
